Speekee® Accelerate Review: Weeks 33 – 36

Weeks 33 & 34

This unit covers restaurants and is mainly about food and drink. We set up a restaurant and gave it a name. Then used the workseets for some role play. We used the following vocabulary:

¿Qué quieres para beber?” (What do you want to drink?)

Speekee® Accelerate Review: Supermarket Scavenger Hunt

Using the vocabulary learnt in the last unit I prepared a shopping list in Spanish with 10 items that the children had to find in our local supermarket.  It was a race and the first one back to me with all the correct items in their basket was the winner.   Read more…

Speekee® Accelerate Review: Weeks 17 – 20

This post marks half-way through our Speekee Accelerate review! We have covered 20 weeks of lessons in just over 12 weeks. We’ve kept up with the worksheets easily and although we haven’t always been able to do all of the additional activities that are recommended we have done most of them in small group!

As a Home Educator myself I’ve found that the small group setting we have developed for this review is working really well for us. Our small group entails my daughter Chloe (6), Timothy (7) and Georgina (11) and my other daughter Carmela (4) but she usually only joins in with the games! We meet every fortnight on a Monday morning. Speekee® Accelerate Review: Weeks 1-6

 

Weeks 1 & 2

These lessons introduce simple everyday phrases in Spanish such as “Donde esta…” (where is) and “No lo sé” (I don’t know).  They are introduced in the videos without written meaning and repeated often.
